TEARS OF LOVERS FROM ROSE WATER

When I hear the word darkness

I don't wait...

I light my lantern

I dig a well and don't wait

To embrace the children's gurgles

ـــــ The breeze of love has a fragrance 

Like the fragrance of flowers in spring -

If you find the surroundings fragrant 

Know that your beloved is very close 

ـــــ The life of a candle is hours of light

It is futile 

To try to preserve On the ashes 

If the wind blows hard

Yes, we are passersby 

But we must leave a trace along the path 

So that those who come after us will know that we 

had passed on this path

When we are an influential poem 

Or a popular song 

Or a flowing river 

Or a tongue 

Rich in fruitful trees 

Or a mountain 

Which falcons head to 

And walnut, oak, and fig trees flourish on its slopes 

Or a book 

Scented with the scents of wisdom and good advice 

Then we cannot be forgotten
